Experimental sound, space, and sharp set design — a unique gathering above El Raval.
Modern Obscure Music is a cross-disciplinary platform that explores the boundaries between sound, art, and research through deep listening and experimental practices. Known for its bold curatorial approach, the label champions innovative work that challenges conventions — constantly engaging with contemporary art and conceptual aesthetics.
Characterized by its attention to sonic materiality, spatial awareness, and artistic experimentation, the platform also collaborates visually with multidisciplinary creators, shaping a distinct and immersive aesthetic universe.

For the very first time, Modern Obscure Music took over the rooftop of Casa Camper Barcelona on June 12th, during the vibrant week of Sónar Festival in the city. The evening featured an outstanding DJ line-up — Mad Miran (Netherlands), Yuko Yoko (Japan), Da Silva (Portugal), and Eric Filipus (Sweden) — delivering a powerful yet intimate sonic experience above the streets of El Raval.
In collaboration with Bar Manifest, and featuring furniture by BD Barcelona, the rooftop was transformed through an evocative set design by Jil Sander and Elisabeth Herzog into a space where music, design, and culture converged seamlessly.
It was an unforgettable debut — a celebration of creativity, community, and sonic exploration in the heart of Barcelona.
