LOTTO In Casa Camper Berlin

Industrial narratives meet Casa Camper’s spirit

From their studio in Kreuzberg, designers Mirko Ihrig and Casey Lewis —founders of the Berlin-based studio LOTTO— have reimagined the lobby of Casa Camper Berlin, creating a space that now houses our new souvenir shop.

About LOTTO

LOTTO is the collaborative studio of designers Mirko Ihrig and Casey Lewis, working at the intersection of industrial design, interiors and object narratives. Their practice is rooted in reference, recontextualization, and storytelling — giving familiar forms a new twist through material experimentation and precise construction.

A short chat with Berlin-based designers LOTTO

CC: Where did you grow up?
LOTTO: Casey grew up in the Rocky Mountains (USA), and Mirko on the northern coast of Germany.

CC: What about Berlin? How long have you been living here?
LOTTO: Mirko’s been here for six years after a stint in Copenhagen. Casey moved from Milan three years ago. We both love the energy and rhythm of the city.

CC: Can you describe your work in three words?
LOTTO: Referential, archetypal, unexpected.

CC: Does the dreamy roughness of your work connect to the city?
LOTTO: Definitely. We like to balance the precision of industrial design with softer gestures — something that resonates with Berlin’s contrasts. The city’s streets are a constant source of inspiration.

CC: How would you spend a day with friends visiting Berlin?
LOTTO: Early pastry at Albatross, a canal walk with the dog, coffee at Concierge, and a few galleries like KTZ.

CC: And the night?
LOTTO: We’re in our dinner era — Julius, Stoke or Da Jia Le are always a great end to the day.

CC: One last question — what are you addicted to these days?
LOTTO: Mountain air, prosciutto cotto, and watermelon salad.
